Dave Nostrant
General Manager / Owner

Our General Manager comes to us from the state of Wisconsin. He is a graduate of the Tennis Technology program in Tyler, Texas and is a certified USPTA and USPTR tennis Professional 1. As a Wilson Advisory Staff Member, Dave was awarded in 1998 the Wilson Regional Advisory Staff Member of the Year. He also is a lifetime member of the USTA.

In college, Dave lettered in baseball and tennis. He has been featured in Tennis Magazine and on the Tennis Magazine television show. Dave has done tennis tips for national television on "Tennis Extra," "Short Takes" with the ESPN Fitness Club and on "Inside Out," a sports program from San Jose, California.

Prior to coming to Green Valley, Dave taught for Vic Braden in Germany. Currently, Dave is the tennis director for the Dixie Celebrity Golf and Tennis Classic, a fundraising event which hosts professional athletes.

tylerTyler Weekes
VBTC Director / Owner

Tyler graduated high school at the age of sixteen. His parents, Ed
and Jeannette Weekes, encouraged Tyler to engage in sports
throughout his childhood and eventually he decided that tennis
would be his focus.

A strong believer in having solid mechanics, Tyler has become a
real student of the game. Aggressive play and fun are always in
the forefront of his mind. As the Founder of the Player Development Program, Tyler has assisted many tennis players in their pursuit to quickly reach a higher level.

Tyler has spent a great deal of time with Vic personally and has been selected as a member of the National Coaching Staff for Vic Braden's Crash Course. In addition, Tyler was also one of the youngest coaches ever certified by the USPTA and passed with high scores.

In January 2005, Tyler competed in Future #2 on the USPTA Pro Circuit. Doubles partner Andy Fitzell and Tyler broke through and won the qualifying draw. Futures #1-#4 are considered by pro players to be the toughest competition. Because of this success Tyler has ensured himself entry into additional Futures events. Tyler is registered with the ITF and is a current I-PIN holder.

In addition to his full-time teaching schedule at Vic Braden Tennis College, Tyler is Head Coach for the Snow Canyon High School boys and girls tennis teams.

Tyler is co-founder of Court Think LLC which specializes in the research, study, and development of athletic motion and training in all sports.


Andy Fitzell
VBTC Director / Owner

Andy, a Southern California native, has spent over 5 years teaching tennis in Utah at the Vic Braden Tennis College. In recent years, Andy has worked and traveled with top sectional and national ranked juniors as well as touring pros. He is certified by the USPTA as a Pro-1 and has been a member since 1997. Andy is a graduate of the USTA High-Performance Coaching Program, earning him a specialist degree in Competitive Player Development. In 2004, he served as 2nd Vice President on the USPTA Intermountain Board of Directors. Andy is also a member of Vic Braden's National Coaching Staff allowing him to
travel all over the U.S. helping players of all levels reach their potential.

As a player, Andy was a top sectional and national ranked junior and played division I collegiate tennis for Weber State University, where he competed at #1 doubles and #2 singles. Currently, Andy competes on the USTA Pro Circuit with doubles partner Tyler Weekes. He also remains as one of the top ranked players in both singles and doubles in the Men's Open division in Utah.

Even when off the court Andy's strokes are in demand. In 2003, his stokes were captured for the Microsoft X-Box tennis game "Top Spin." Andy's strokes will again be featured in Microsoft's next tennis game to be released in 2005.

Andy is co-founder of Court Think LLC which specializes in the research, study, and development of athletic motion and training in all sports.

In his spare time, Andy enjoys playing golf, rock climbing, watching movies, and strumming the guitar.


Jason McGinnis
Tennis Professional

Jason was born and raised in Mentor, Ohio a suburb of Cleveland has been playing tennis for 12 years, starting when he was 11 years old. Jason received first team all conference honors three of the four years he played in high school and was a top ranked sectional player in the Midwest U18 for the USTA.  He went on to attend Ferris State University where he received his degree in Professional Tennis Management, which includes a B.S. in Marketing.  The PTM program at Ferris is the top in the nation and the standard for the industry.  While at Ferris Jason Received a Level 1 Sports Science certification.  He also assisted Dave Bone (Executive Director of the USRSA) in teaching the Racquet Tech Course.

Jason has been teaching tennis for over 7 years now.  He certified as a P2 professional with the USPTA in May 2005.  In 2003 Jason worked at the Hawthorn Country Club in Indianapolis, Indiana where he worked alongside tour pros such as Nicholas Massu. In 2004 Jason worked at Ivan Lendl’s Grand Slam Tennis Center in Banksville, New York.  Jason not only worked as an assistant pro at Grand Slam but was also the head racquet stringer.  Jason loves working at the Vic Braden Tennis College; He especially enjoys helping players take their game to the next level.


Eric Pelton
Tennis Professional / Dixie State Head Coach

Eric grew up loving to play sports, at the age of Twelve He picked up Tennis and has never looked back. A Graduate of Dixie High School Eric lead the Flyers at #1 singles winning Region two years straight and leading Dixie to their first ever State Championship. Eric was Ranked in the top #3 in Utah as a Junior. Eric began his teaching career at the Vic Braden Tennis college over 8 years ago. Sense then Eric spent time in Florida training and playing Futures tennis tournaments on the USTA Pro Circuit. Eric then spent 2 years at the University of Nevada Las Vegas playing singles and doubles for the Rebels.

Eric was the Director of Tennis at the Vail Racquet Club in Vail, CO for 4 years. working with and training many of the top juniors and adults in the area. Hosting a number of USTA sanctioned tournaments including one of the largest Open prize money events in Colorado.

In 2004 Eric went back to school and graduated from BYU-Hawaii with a degree in Exercise and Sports Science and a Minor in Information Systems. While finishing school at BYU-H Eric worked as an Assistant Coach under Dave Porter former President of USPTA, helping with both the Men's and Women's Tennis Team. The Women's Tennis team has captured the national championship in NCAA II 6 out of the last 8 years

Eric is excited to be back in St. George as the new Head Coach of the Dixie State College Women's Tennis Team. Tennis is alive and doing well in St. george and a College Tennis Team is something St. George has needed and looked forward to for a very long time.


David Bryner
Tennis Professional

David was born and raised here in Utah. He grew with hopes of becoming a professional snowboarder and stumbled into tennis along the way. While David was attending Snow Canyon High School in St. George he decided tennis would be a great way to spend the off season. David went out for the high school team where Tyler Weekes of the VBTC was his coach. After observing and learning the game of tennis at the Vic Braden Tennis College David decided to pursue a career in tennis. He is a strong believer in the strokes and overall tennis game taught at VBTC.

David currently is a student at Dixie State College where he is pursuing a degree in exercise science. He still finds time to snowboard during the winter, and golf during the summer. Other activities David enjoys include travel, wakeboarding, basketball, and rock climbing.


Amelia Richards
Tennis Professional

In a return to her roots, Amelia joined the Vic Braden Tennis College earlier this year. She had formerly trained at the Vic Braden Tennis College as a junior player and went on to win a state championship in doubles as a high school athlete. Amelia has recently completed an MBA degree in addition to a bachelors degree in Accounting from BYU.
Her responsibilities at the club include handling the accounting and financial planning as well as a part-time coach. She enjoys working with the junior players especially the PeeWee classes. She is also happy to have the Dixie College women’s team practice at the club and plans to regularly practice/train with them. Outside of tennis her hobbies include wakeboarding, cooking, and traveling…especially to tennis tournaments. Breakfast at Wimbledon anyone?


Michelle Graves
Tennis Coordinator

Michelle grew up in Baltimore, Maryland.  Michelle grew up playing most sports and fitness has always been her passion.  Michelle was a four year letterman in high school in the sports field hockey and lacrosse.  She went on to attend Brigham Young University and through sponsorship founded the BYU Women’s Club Lacrosse Team.  Michelle graduated in 1991 with a degree in Health Sciences and a minor in Communications.  After college Michelle worked contractually for the NSA as their Assistant Fitness Center Manager.  From there she took a job as Health Promotions Coordinator for a National Bank.  There she implemented and managed wellness programs for 7000+ employees.  Next, Michelle went on to work for Brick Bodies, Inc.  As a member of management systems Michelle worked for this renowned fitness company specializing primarily in Health Club Management.  Recently Michelle and her family have relocated to sunny St. George, Utah.  Michelle has eagerly accepted the position as Tennis Coordinator for the Vic Braden Tennis College and Club.  Her responsibilities here will include making sure all of the guests have a wonderful experience both on and off the courts!  In her spare time Michelle enjoys time spent with her husband Steve and their four children.  Michelle also enjoys running, biking, and hiking.
